Meet The RapidAdvance Executive Team
Jeremy Brown - Chairman
Jeremy calls on over 25 years of management experience running small and mid-sized businesses across various industries, including retail, construction and technology, to deliver funding solutions to small businesses throughout North America. He is one of the original founders of RapidAdvance and was CEO until 2015, when he assumed the role of executive chairman. Prior to RapidAdvance, Jeremy served as COO of a national audiovisual service company with more than 50 locations, CEO of a commercial construction contractor with 500 employees, and president of a retail computer company.
Jeremy speaks at industry events as a leading voice on alternative finance and small business, as well as contributes articles on alternative funding. Jeremy is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University.
A lifelong resident of the D.C. area, Jeremy enjoys spending time at the beach with his family, working out, and futile attempts to improve his golf handicap.
Will Tumulty - Chief Executive Officer
Will Tumulty joins RapidAdvance as CEO following 16 years in the banking and payments industry. He has held management positions in marketing, operations and IT at Capital One and AccountNow. Will also founded Ready Financial Group, Inc. in 2006, and served as president and chief executive officer until it was acquired by industry leader Green Dot in 2015.
He began his career in the U.S. military, where he completed the United States Navy’s Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training program in Coronado, CA, and served five years on active duty with SEAL Teams ONE and FOUR.
Will holds a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the United States Naval Academy, as well as a Master of Science in manufacturing systems engineering and an MBA from Stanford University.
Mark Cerminaro - Chief Revenue Officer
Mark Cerminaro oversees all business development, third-party relationship management and partnership sales efforts at RapidAdvance. He works directly with the CEO and other senior executives to develop the company’s vision, implement revenue strategies across all channels, and manage revenue growth. Prior to joining RapidAdvance in 2007, Mark worked as a financial advisor and associate branch manager with Morgan Stanley, where he managed over $200 million in personal and corporate assets. Mark has over 15 years of experience in financial services and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, where he was recruited as a quarterback for the Georgetown Hoyas.
Mark has been involved with small businesses his entire life, from working for them while growing up in New Jersey, to helping them access the capital they need to grow. He is an avid sports fan and loves spending time with his wife and two sons.
Most recently, Mark was named a 2016 40 Under 40 award winner by the Commercial Finance Association (CFA). This award recognizes the best and brightest commercial finance professionals and service providers across the industry.
Joseph Looney - Chief Operation Officer and General Counsel
Armed with an abundance of financial services and technology experience, General Counsel Joseph ‘Joe’ Looney oversees the legal and compliance functions at RapidAdvance. Joe ensures the company complies with applicable legal requirements so that merchants, businesses and banks partnering with RapidAdvance can access safe and secure funding.
Prior to RapidAdvance, Joe honed his skills at one of the nation’s top financial services law firms, Hudson Cook, LLP, where he specialized in financial services compliance. Prior to that, he was with the firm of Weil, Gotshal and Manges, LLP. Joe graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Law with honors.
Joe is an avid golfer and loves playing rounds with his kids.
